Products

A product represents the item that a customer purchases from you. As an enterprise organization, you may have several products that require different pricing strategies. A few examples of a product are a software license, a monthly subscription, and a tiered support plan.

The way a product is priced is dictated by one or more plans associated with that product. Each plan in turn has one or more charges associated with it.

Plans and charges

A plan is a collection of charges that dictates how a product is priced.

A charge defines how your product is priced. Charges have configuration options to specify the charge amount, pricing models (flat fee, tiered, block pricing etc.), frequency, recurrence, and more. For example, while configuring a charge for a software license product you can specify that you want to charge an annual recurring fee of 200 USD per license. See Charges to learn more.
